Last Minute Real Food Christmas Gift Ideas

Last Minute Real Food Christmas Gifts

Are you a last minute shopper like me?  I’m horrible at buying gifts early because I’m too excited to wait to give it to them.  I also hate shopping so I put it off and put it off.  Just a few days to go and I still have gifts to buy or make.

So I’ve compiled a quick list of gifts to give the real food enthusiasts in your life or for those wanting to become an enthusiast.

Ebooks

Picking out e-books can be challenging.  Is the book worth the price?  Are they going to like it?  Here is a list of real food e-books I love.

  • Lisa’s Counter Culture: Pickles and Other Well Bred Foods.  Check out my review of Lisa’s book here.  An excellent book for the novice pickler to the experienced fermenter.
  • Real Food Storage by KerryAnn of Cooking Traditional Foods.  This book is a must have for any prepper.  Build a real food storage pantry to last your family a year.
  • Cooking with Coconut Oil by Jennifer of Hybrid Rasta Mama.
  • Coconut Oil for Your Skin by Jennifer of Hybrid Rasta Mama.  This book is full of great DIY gift ideas for lotions, salves, balms and even shampoo.  I tried the shampoo recipe and am hooked!
  • Sourdough A-Z by Wardeh Harmon of www.gnowfglins.com.
  • Real Food Nutrition by Kristen of Food Renegade. This book makes a great nutrition curriculum for homeschoolers or for parents who want to teach their children about real food.

Meal Plans

Meal planning is a great way to help someone get started on eating a healthier diet.  Below is a list of great meal plans that I’ve used.  They are delivered weekly to your inbox, each come with a shopping list and recipes for main courses, sides and healthy desserts.

  • Cooking Traditional Foods Menu Planner, Classic and Budget. This plan is a full month at a time which works better for me since I shop monthly rather than weekly.  Great, family friendly, simple meals.
  • GNOWFGLINS weekly menu planner. Simple to make meals, instructions on when to start what, a weekly fermentation and even a family devotional.
  • Nourished Kitchen, Simply Dinners.  I used this meal plan for over a year and loved it.  3 elegant but simply meals that the whole family devoured, a weekly dessert and ferment.

Health Coach

Give the gift of health with a health coaching package from Lydia of Divine Health.  This includes a telephone consultation, health assessments, phone and email support, help with meal planning, supplement suggestions and so much more!
